Park & Cafe
Whether you’re attending an event at the house or simply in Highgate and looking for a quiet bolthole, a visit to Lauderdale’s hidden gem of a restaurant is a must. Take a seat in the bright indoor space or at one of the al fresco picnic tables and drink in the views of Waterlow Park, while you feast on mains like escalope Milanese, lasagna and fish and chips, a simple home-made sandwich or an indulgent slice of lemon drizzle cake.
Open everyday (and Bank Holiday Mondays) from 8am to 6pm. (During Waterlow Park hours)
Batteries recharged, take a meander through the tree-lined walkways of Waterlow Park, designated one of London’s 'best-kept secrets' by Time Out or head to the world-famous Highgate Cemetery.
Lauderdale House will be refurbished from October 1 until the Summer 2016. The House will be holding a series of Pop-Up events locally during this time and the cafe is hoping to have a Pop-Up kiosk on the Tea Lawn behind the House (still to be confirmed). The galleries will be open until Sunday 20 September and the café will remain open until Monday 21 September. The entire house will be completely closed to the public from Thursday 1 October.
